NSF Workshop on Fractured Rockmass

Dr. Wencheng Jin was invited and participated in the NSF Workshop on Fractured Rockmass at Georgia Tech.

The workshop, sponsored by NSF, brought together experts in geomechanics, geosciences, geophysics, geochemistry, testing and modeling, sensors and sensing systems, and subsurface processes to identify the most pressing science and engineering questions for the next decades, and to envision the development of a shared national facility for fractured rock mass studies.

Assistant Professor of Petroleum Engineering

My research interests include novel rock breakage and fracture for subsurface resource recovery, data-driven and physics-based multiphysics modeling in porous and fractured media, and granular material flow characterization and modeling. My research provides solutions for energy/minerals recovery & storage, material handling, and GeoHazards prediction.
